The day before…

May 19, 2010/Ryan

The house is quiet. Ainsley just left for preschool (crying, of course) and Ryan is napping. The doctor changed his mind and decided to bring Ryan in this afternoon for admittance and an overnight stay before tomorrow’s cath. I wondered if he would want to do that…. prior to the other caths they’ve always given Ryan fluid so his arteries and veins are nice and full. He is such a complex case it’s good to do everything possible to give him the best scenario.

So I’m packing my bags and getting ready to leave the house by noon. I’m worried about the girls and feeling the familiar butterflies of pre-procedure jitters. I’m overwhelmed. I feel like crying! But no time. Maybe in the car on the way down….
I’ll post when Ryan’s out of the cath lab. He’s always been first case – 8 a.m. I’m guessing it will be the same tomorrow.

We are praying for Ryan and for you and the girls.

    Philippians 4:6-7 (New Living Translation)

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

I am praying for you, Ryan, and the rest of your family. I think that the day before procedures and surgery is much worse than the day of. God is in control. Hang in there Ryan!

When we do devotion in the mornings I always pray for Ryan. Yesterday when we did devotions my husband did all of the praying and it just touched my heart so much to see that he remembered Ryan all on his own!!!!

We love Ryan…and we love thinking of him and praying for him. I think part of it is that so many people prayed for our granddaughter Anna when she was born with multiple heart issues. It reminds us how very important it is to pray for others.

And we pray for you and your hubby Henry and the girls too. We know you have all been through a lot!

We will be waiting for a good report after tomorrows Heart Cath.

    Love you,

Praying for the whole family and for God’s hands to direct and guide the doctor’s. And remember…it’s ok to cry when you need to. The Lord always is there and understands. Love to you and your family.

    Sweet Leighann,
My heart aches for you from one mother to another. Not even beginning to understand or fathom all that you have been through with Ryan and how each hospitalization must weigh on you. I am praying right now, I will remain in prayer the next fews days over Ryan’s specific needs as well as your family thriving through this next hurdle. We are trusting in a big God and praying protection over Ryan as he heads in for that heart cath. Love you all.
