No More Monkeys…

November 18, 2010/The Girls

Last night I was lying in my bed relaxing when Natalie came and handed me five pieces of ripped up paper.

“Are those your five tickets for the ticket ride?” she asked.
“Yes.” I said, straight-faced.
“Thank you.” she said taking the ripped paper.
She then climbed over my body and started jumping on the bed.

“Does it feel like you’re on a plane?” she asked.
“No.” I said.

“A boat?” she asked.
“No.” I said.

(on the way down)

(oops, those are her knees on the way up)

“Well, it’s a plane.” she said jumping close to try and get my body into the air.

Ainsley meandered in and said, “Sorry it took me so long. I was shaving my chin.”
“Shaving, with what?” I said.
“With my toothbrushes. My Dora one to put it on and my jewel one to take it off” she answered. (I’m assuming ‘it’ was toothpaste as noted on her chin)

She then joined her sister in jumping fun. “Five little monkeys… no…”

“There are seven days, there are seven days, there are seven days a week….”

It took a lot of work to get these little monkeys calmed down!

Leighann that is so cute! Did you come out unharmed from all of that jumping? ((smile))

Why is it that little ones get a second wind right before bedtime? I don’t know, but it sure happens a lot!

Sometimes I think I need to “shave my chin!” Ha! When ya get older you get little stray hairs here and there! ((smile))

Have a good day with your munchkins!
    Love, Linda

Haha! That is too great! I remember doing things like that with my sisters when we were growing up. Like you, my parents were troopers and made us feel like we were the best entertainment they ever had! 🙂
