I often post conversations on this blog that I have with my children. Here are a few I’ve had with my new automated assistant, “Siri”:

Me: Call Amy Plumlee.
Siri: I cannot find anyone named Sammy Chumlee in your contacts.
Me: (Speaking slowly) Call Amy Plumlee.
Siri: I cannot find anyone named Blamey Chum in your contacts.
Me: (A little faster and louder) Call Amy Plumlee.
Siri: I cannot find anyone named Aaaaaa Meeeee.
Me: Find a restaurant nearby.
Siri: There are three restaurants that aren’t too far from you.
Me: Siri, I’m in downtown Washington, DC. There’s no way there are only three restaurants near me, especially since I can see five around me right now!
Me: Find the XX post office.
Siri: I’m sorry, I can’t process any requests right now.
Me: Find the XX post office.
Siri: I’m sorry, I can’t process my requests right now.
Me: Yes, you said that.
Me: Wash the dishes and mop the floor.
Siri: I’m sorry, I don’t understand wash the dishes and mop the floor.

Prayers for all of you and especially little Ryan. Hope he is healing and not too cranky.

My teenager likes to ask “Where’s the nearest toilet?” It cracks her and her sister up every time. Hope your little Ryan is feeling better (and that you got some well-deserved rest)!!
