A few visuals

March 15, 2012/Ryan
Here are some pictures I took in the hospital during Ryan’s recovery from his heart catheterization last Friday. Enjoy!
Eating dinner Saturday night in the CICU.
You can see the dark circles around his eyes. He hated the nasal cannula. They had him on a rate of 10 liters per minute which sounded like a jet engine and couldn’t have been the best feeling. He kept ripping it off his face – ALL NIGHT LONG – so finally in the morning they tried blow by and finally took it off all together. It wasn’t worth sedating him to keep it on when the real goal was getting up and around.
Sunday morning eating breakfast and watching Cars or Nemo in the HKU. They were the favorites this weekend.

A side view.

Ryan’s color is so much better. I can’t believe how blue he’d gotten. And he’s so happy! Giggling and playing.
Ryan will have open-heart surgery in the next 4-6 weeks. I will post the whys and whens as soon as we confirm the date. For now, I’m lovin’ on our boy and enjoying his happy personality.
