They pulled Ryan’s chest tube this morning after two days of draining in the high double-digits. If all goes well, there is a chance we’ll be discharged late Monday. I am excited we’ll be gone and anxious we’ll still be here all at the same time.
But first baby steps.
We will have an x-ray later this afternoon to see if he’s collecting fluid. The risk, of course, is that the tube is pulled too soon and has to be reinserted.
However, that happens very rarely.
The next step is an x-ray, blood work, and an echo in the morning to clear him for going home.
We are so close, people.
Please pray that Ryan’s body will absorb anything it’s creating for healing and that he’ll continue to heal without further complications.
I’ve been out of pocket the last couple of days but am glad to see that the tube has been pulled. Loved the pix’s where you went and visited the veggie booth. Hoping to read soon- we have blown this place……… God speed. Becky
I commented but then it got lost! So, I will just say again, that I am thrilled that the tube has come out! I pray that he will do ok…and that all of the tests will come back good, and that you two can go home today sometime! That would be so wonderful!!!
I love the thought of the whole family being reunited!
Continued prayers…and lots of love,
Linda and John Hogeland
Fantastic news, will pray that Ryan keeps on getting better and that you will soon be on your way home! I love Ryan’s Thomas and friends top , my boys were all Thomas mad!!!
