Daylight Smaylight

March 17, 2011/Miscellaneous

Dear Daylight Savings Time:

I like you so much better in the fall. You know when we faaaallllll back an hour. This springing forward thing is for the birds.
I’ve been tired all week. It could be allergies, but for today I’m blaming it on you. Because on Saturday night I lost an hour of sleep that I desperately needed. For the four nights in a row since I’ve not been tired at my bedtime, no, I’m wide-awake because it’s really an hour earlier.
And my children, when they wake at their “normal” time, are really up early! Gag. Have I mentioned I don’t do early? Speaking of early, on Thursdays I get up at 6 a.m. , so it’s really 5 a.m.
I t ‘ s r e a l l y 5 a . m . !
And I’m screaming at you… because I’m up and it’s EARLY.
Unfortunately for you I will blame you until the day I don’t remember it’s really an hour earlier. Unfortunately for me that might be in the fall when we go back to what time it is for real.
Until then,
ME

I so dont like the fact that its dark now when Josiah goes to school..The whole “Losing” an hour does nothing for me, just being in the dark drives me nuts in the am.

LOL you’re so funny! I can relate but I LOVE mornings! this week threw me off though cuz I’m extra tired and don’t want to get up and I hate waking up to dark skies but I have to say on my drive to work I love it! I love seeing the blue skies and a glimpse of pink and the sun coming up, it reminds me of God’s love and then the sun is shining saying “good morning my child” :o) Have a sweet one!

I just did a post about changes…and said how hard it is for me to adjust! I am just one of those people. (:>)

But I know it must be hard for a young mommy with so much to do. You really need your sleep!

Hoping you can adjust soon…and things will feel normal.

Oh man leighann, I feel your pain! I have been exhausted this week. I don’t even know what I’d do I I had kids waking up early. Hopefully everybody will adjust soon. Love you

Totally relate!! The day after we changed the clocks I posted to facebook that I really didn’t need to lose another hour of the sleep I already wasn’t getting. lol And the thing is everyone around here already had sleep problems so add this time change thing on to that and we’re losing WAY more than an hour! So yes I agree about not liking daylight savings and feel like screaming about it too!! (or maybe just taking a nap cause I don’t have the energy to get that upset? haha) Hope things even out for the both of us…before fall.

I just found your site and had to comment, because I have never known another child (other than mine) who has a cor triatrium membrane!! I will definitely pray for your son.
