Ryan took a turn for the worse throughout the night and is headed for the cath lab in about an hour. He is no longer well enough to wait until Thursday. His morning ECHO revealed the membrane is causing more stress than two weeks ago.
He is back on the ventilator (standard procedure for a cath anyway), is getting a paralytic sedation, and is having an arterial line put in now. Please pray the arterial line will not damage his artery. His veins and arteries have proven uncooperative in the past so the docs are concerned about scar tissue forming. He has several more surgeries scheduled this year so please pray his arteries will remain healthy.
It is hard to see him paralyzed, sedated, and vented after having him well for several weeks. He acts and looks like a different baby. Sigh.

Oh, I’m so sorry for the set back. I hope the cath takes care of the issue and that you will still be able to take Ryan home this month. I’ll be praying that way.
