Everybody warned us about the weather in Pittsburgh. It’s cold…. there’s lot of snow… it’s dreary… blah, blah, blah.
I happen to like the weather. I know it’s been a mild winter and I might have to eat my words next year, but so far, I’m liking that many days we have snow flurries and temperatures low enough to keep the white stuff on the ground for a few days.

For a dreary place that gets a ton of rain and not very many sunny days, the white canvas is a welcomed respite from the gray.

It’s peaceful and pretty. And the maintenance crews around here actually know how to get it off the roads so you aren’t stuck following a rear-wheeled compact skidding all over the place. (Just sayin’)

We’ve only had an inch or two of snow covered by ice a few weekends ago. My kids are bummed about the lack of snow this winter. It kind of makes the blustery days not worth it!

Living in northern VA, everyone has a story about the crazy person in a rear wheel drive car in the snow!

I will give the Pittsburgh snow removal crew credit…they know their stuff! Glad you are enjoying your first winter. Now, you can look forward to less humidity and cooler temperatures in the summer (than NOVA’s)!
