Ryan had a great weekend. He is advancing on his CPAP trials dramatically. Saturday he was six hours on the trial and one off throughout the day. Sunday, he went for 14 hours straight on a CPAP before taking a break. They are talking about extubating him later this week.
On another topic, we have been spoiled at the hospital by having a private CICU room. Over the weekend, they moved Ryan to a bay with two other babies making room for a less stable baby to take his private room. While we are happy he is stable enough to move, this will make it harder for the girls not to bother others while we are visiting. Henry returns to work tomorrow so we’ll see how it all goes.
That’s wonderful news! I try to pray for all of the little heart babies when I say Maggie’s bedtime prayers with her and Ryan has definitely been added to that list. I will be praying for a good week and a smooth extubation. Also, I will be praying for very special moments with him since they may be harder to get once your hubby goes back to work.

That’s great news…but a private spot is so much easier. My youngest granddon was in the NICU last year for 3 weeks and the private room was WONDERFUL.
I am having my first BLOG GIVE AWAY, so stop by if you have a chance.
I’m continuing to pray for little Ryan. I remember being kicked out of the room “in” the hospital when Anna was doing better and rejoicing over that – but also sleeping in the car that night because the Ronald McDonald House didn’t have room for us! ha!
Yay! So happy Ryan is breathing on his own more and more. Sorry you lost your private room but who would have imagined that he would have ever been stable enough to graduate. Happy graduation day Ryan!

Stability is awesome! Maybe you’ll get to know the other babies’ parents and for a mini support system? You never know what God has in work for you
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a link to yours. I wanted to give you a hug. (((Leighann)))
It’s hard having your baby struggle and I’m glad to hear that he is improving! Praise God.
I didn’t see which hospital you are in – but if it’s Duke Children’s and you would like some help, please email me as I’d love to.
Praying for continued healing for your sweet boy and peace, sleep, patience and wisdom for you and your dh!
Blessings,
Leslie
