Weekend Recap

May 3, 2010/Family
We had a great weekend. Quiet Saturday morning. Cookout on Saturday evening with a friend in Natalie’s kindergarten class. Then the neighbor set up his movie projector and screen for a family night on the cul-de-sac. Love it. We watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with the neighborhood. I got rid of the rest of the German Chocolate cake from our cookout, which is great since I wasn’t forced to eat it myself over the next two days.

Here’s Ainsley eating a piece of pizza and watching the movie.

A shot of the movie screen. (Sidenote: At one point Natalie turned to me and said very seriously, “Mommy, this isn’t right. There’s trash all over the ground. We need to clean up this mess.” I assured her we would and handed her a trash bag. She made sure everyone cleaned up their mess after the movie.)

Natalie loved the idea of having an umbrella for shade even though it was dark out.

Sunday afternoon we sat and played. The girls played with tape….

Ryan drank in the attention…
To cap off a great family weekend, my husband brought me home a movie and Tortilla Factory chips and salsa. My favorite. And now to start a very hectic week….

What a great neighbor! That looks like it was fun. Ryan is too cute and tolerant with all those pieces of tape on his face. Love it.

Leighann that did look like a fun weekend! When we were first married we lived on a culdesac and we had block parties too. It was fun.

Ryan is so precious…he looks like that tape on his face didn’t bother him one bit! (:>)
