Today in the car Natalie asked if Sponge Bob is a girl’s name. Henry told her it is a boy’s name. She got all excited and said breathlessly, “We could name my brother Sponge Bob!”
“We could,” said Henry, ” But we usually reserve that for cartoon characters.”
“Ok, well then, how about Beauty and the Beast?” she asked.
“Again,” he replied. “Cartoon characters.”
Just a side note – I do not let my children watch Sponge Bob. Henry did let Natalie watch him a few times before I nipped it in the bud. Now, she recognizes him, but thank God, doesn’t imitate him.

Got my hopes up with the title of your blog! Big meanie!! See now if you let Natalie pick a name, your long struggle and decision making would be over. Spongebob Marquiss it would be. Would you want sponge or bob as a nickname?? Maybe the name of your next blogspot could be beauty and the beast.

I am so thankful to get to know you and will be blessed to meet you on our next furlough home (hopefully this fall). Thanks also for the insight about the cream puffs, I will make them bite size next time and freeze them…I have such a tiny freezer so we will see if that will work! Thanks for finding me again 🙂
