Request Night

April 18, 2009/Ryan
Ok, so there have been a few requests. First things first – Ryan is doing well and the plan now is to start weaning oxygen and meds again, and work on feeds by mouth. Deja vu, huh?  I think I wrote that about 2 weeks ago. 🙂

Now on to the questions –
Sarah Joy wants to know how the girls are doing…. they are doing well. It seems they might be have allergies or colds – I’m not sure which so they will be staying home this weekend. I’m sure they won’t mind since they are at the hospital almost every day.
Misty is wondering about PT for the secretions – yes, they call it chest physical therapy or (CPT). They basically pound the baby’s chest to help the lungs clear. Unfortunately, we can’t really pound Ryan’s chest, but we do pound his back. 🙂
And, Misty also requested picture updates, so here are some recent photos…oh, I almost forgot…Ryan smiled at me today! His first one. It was for a millisecond, but the CV fellow and I both saw it and looked at each other and said, “He smiled.”  Whoo hoo!

How thankful we are for God’s intervention once again. Ryan looked more relaxed yesterday and that was a welcome sight! Marmi Marquiss

Thanks for your updates!!! Supermom! We ask and you answer, you are too good to your readers! I love that family picture! I saved it and am printing it to place in my devotional (hopefully the baby won’t get to this one.)
Praying for Ryan as he jumps these next few hurdles and gets back on track for going home and moving forward!

    Leighann and Henry,
That picture of Ryan is so beautiful. He’s saying “yep, I’m here!” I love the beads, that is such a neat reminder of all the hurdles that have been leaped over by Ryan in God’s hands.
    love ya,
