Random Tidbits and a winner

October 22, 2012/Natalie

We have a winner of the Shakeology giveaway – #2: Lisa!    Congratulations, Lisa!  I’ll be in contact for your mailing information.

Just some random things from the last few weeks:

the bill from Ryan’s april surgery/may stay came in the mail. we owe nothing. thank the Lord for good insurance.

we had a play date on friday… decorated pumpkin cookies and played in the yard.
Ainsley looks like a gangster in this photo. can’t help but laugh. oh, and look at her sprinkles.
I found a Girl Scouts Handbook from 1946 at an estate sale over the weekend for $1. i can’t wait to skim through it… both the girls are in scouts and I’m still finding out what this awesome organization is all about.

speaking of scouts, Natalie went away with her troop on an overnight campout. she had a good time during the day, but missed us at night.
we have a birthday coming up this week. while the birthday girl was camping, her siblings were picking out a fish for her present. it was supposed to be a surprise on Weds, but Ainsley nor Henry could contain their excitement. we gave natalie the choice of opening the gift sunday or waiting til her actual birthday. after thinking about it for a few hours she chose to open her gift.

I made cranberry roast last week but didn’t have any canned cranberry sauce. i happened to have some fresh cranberries…. I know very random…. so i made some homemade cranberry sauce. it reminded me how easy and delicious it is. click here for the recipe if you want to make it for thanksgiving. the nice thing about it is you can make it up to three days in advance (in fact, it’s better made at least 24 hours prior) and it’s lower in sugar than the canned stuff.
busy week coming up…. girl scout meetings, a birthday, a wedding!  what’s on tap for your family this week?

What a great way to start to get more healthy. I am pretty excited. I loved when Josiah was in Scouts for the last 2 years but with Josiah being in Royal Rangers at church and hubby being a leader I felt we had to pare down a few things since the Rangers are so busy and its almost like scouts just a lot more bible based.

That bill was just scarey, thank the Lord for good insurance. I am so very thankful when hubby retires this summer we will continue to have military insurance.
