I hit a wall yesterday. Somewhere between waking up and my feet hitting the floor. I think it has to do with driving to Ohio to drop off the kids then back in two days. Then getting in the car 24 hours later to drive to VA. The next day driving 11 hours to Atlanta. 3 days later driving 11 hours back to VA. The next morning driving 4.5 hours to PA. The next day driving 3 hours to Ohio. The next day driving 3 hours back to PA. The next day cleaning the house top to bottom. The next day sitting for 4 hours at the doctor with Ryan for a follow-up cardiology appointment that included a chest x-ray, CT scan of the head, ECHO, EKG and consult. (He’s doing great, BTW)  It is all catching up with me.

It doesn’t help that the kids are being kids. We’re trying to hit a groove and aren’t there yet. They still argue when I ask them to practice piano, math, reading, and writing. It doesn’t take them that long. An hour to do all of it if they just sat and did it.

They also are fighting with each other. Arguing, complaining, being plain mean. I’m totally over it. We’re addressing their behavior but it’s tiresome. This is being a parent to little kids, I know.

Today, I have no agenda but to roll with the punches. And go to the pool this afternoon. And of course have them practice their piano, math, reading and writing. Other than that no plans. Hoping for a better groove next week.

Totally feeling your pain! I said pretty much the same thing to my husband last night. (about being “over it” with how things are around here) Praying that you’ll hit a new and better groove next week!

    Love,
    Tyra

I feel your pain. We haven’t started our studies yet. Now we just do reading program & activities with the libraries, chill out @ the water park couple days a week, and some other activities my kids decided to do. We’ll start ours next week since I’m almost done planning the lessons -> French & Spanish & Math for my teens, math & reading for my 1st grader, and preschool stuffs for my boys. 🙂
