Only a few days left.

May 29, 2013/Ryan

My girls only have 6 days of school left. SIX DAYS!  It kindof snuck up on me. I haven’t thought that much about what we’ll be doing this summer. I have thought out all our trips, but I haven’t spent a stitch of time figuring out what the kids will be doing all day when we are home. I hope to make a summer fun chart this year… and will involve the kids in making it this time. I’ve always thought of the activities before. But we haven’t made it yet. I’m guessing it will all come together in the end and if not, there’s plenty of outdoor playing to do.

Meanwhile, I’m treasuring my days with this one….

If he’s not wanting to watch a movie, he’s asking to play a game.

We’ve been playing Disney pictionary. His pictures are mostly circles so it makes my guessing a little more challenging.

But he has tons of fun and that’s what matters.

Only 6 more days until his sisters are playing with us!

School ended for us last week. Next week we are off to GA, daddy has some travel and we are tagging along to spend our days pool side while daddy works. After we return in a week we are going to do intensive writting/penmenship course while writting scripture from the bible, its 2 fold, they learn scripture and learn to improve on their writting skills.
We brought out the summer water slides and water balls and the kids are having a blast with those. I plan on doing some imtensive yoga for me, so I still need to come up with fun plans for the summer so the natives dont go stir crazy or make me crazy for that matter.

Bible School is always fun for kids in the summer. I also have taken my grandkids to the cheap summer kids movies at our theaters on summer mornings. They also love going to the pool, the bowling alley, (playing the games in the fun zone there and winning tickets for prizes) also going to the park, and miniature golfing. We play card games, and yard games with them like croquet and bocce ball. And they like to have grandpa teach them how to play pool. They like taking rides in Grandpa’s convertible (an old Mercedes) they think that’s cool! And the girls love shopping, baking and playing hotel. We give them room service when they ring their bell! (Grandpa and I get kinda tired, but they love it!) We give them each 5.00 and enough money for tax, and send them into the Dollar Store to pick 5 fun things. They come out with crazy stuff like sidewalk chalk, balloons, punch balls, cans of noise that sound like horns…silly string etc. After all of the fun, they like taking a luxury bath in the jetted tub, and we make smoothies or popcorn as a snack as we watch tv on the big screen before bed. These things are nothing that you haven’t thought of though, cuz you are an awesome mom! Enjoy your summer. Love Linda

I can’t handle how adorable Ryan is and how cute it is that you play pictionary with him. I miss him lots and can’t wait until you all come visit in June. I also love that Natalie is playing the violin, I totally forgot about that until yesterday’s post. She’s so smart and cute! Miss your girls too 🙂
