This may not look like a big deal to you, but it is. This is Ryan lying on his side. He got there himself! He hasn’t quite figured out how to move his big ole’ arm out of the way, but rolling to his side is major improvement.
I told you the other day I am working on teaching Ryan to give me high-five. We’ve been working on it all week. Thursday afternoon Natalie did something great and I said, “Natalie, high-five.” Well, she left me hanging so I said ‘high-five’ several times with my hand out. After about the third time Ryan started hitting my hand with his and smiling very big. I got a kick out of it myself. So two weeks home and we can put check marks in both the high-five and rolling progress categories.
And for Kristen, FKA anonymous, here is your weekly fix:
I Love seeing this! i used to have to work for hours and hours with pt and ot with my sweet Charity and people would look at me like i was crazy for how excited i would get over the little things! Rolling to his side is awesome!! Ryan in truly one of Gods miracles!
That’s excellent! I’m sure you are tired of the questions, but does Ryan have to wear anything special to protect his heart now? I know you had mentioned a ‘turtle shell’, but wasn’t sure if he was already wearing it. Will the rolling over be the start of needing it? Just curious…
I absolutely love Ryan and his cute smile! I am so excited to see him rolling to his side. I am so happy that he is at home with you. And I pray for him all of the time.
RAYN IS SOOOO CUTE!!!! and it is great that he is starting o roll over and give five!!!! My daughter is 14 mth old and I just LOVE teaching her to do NEW things, I think that is one of the great things about being a MOM!
What an adorable doll baby! I’m sure you’ll be seeing alot more progress in the home setting than you ever would have in the hospital setting. High five, Baby boy!!
WOWZA baby! YOU ROLL! And he looks so thrilled, and ready to ROLL! Leighann….he is THRIVING! I know I’ve said it before, but big head and all…he is doing quite well developmentally! You go little man, shock us all because we love you! From your long eyelashes to your much adored toes. 😉
