Natalie’s Spa Birthday Party

October 31, 2011/Natalie
Friday night we had the girls in Natalie’s class over for a spa birthday bash. Natalie loved the decorations.
The drink and dessert table:

The food table:

We served hot ham and cheese sliders, roasted potatoes, fruit kabobs, and dried fruit. Most the kids ate it. 🙂
Before dinner the girls made a bag of scented bath salts. The babysitters I hired to help out with the party led the girls through the activity while I put the finishing touches on the food.
The girls loved picking out their own custom scents and making their sachets.

After dinner, we headed upstairs to do mud masks. Ainsley thought it was hilarious to put cucumbers on your eyes.

Natalie just thought they were cold.

Then we headed downstairs to do hair. Each girl got their own brush to take home with them. (My mama didn’t raise no fool!)

Next up – manicures and pedicures
While the girls were waiting for their nails to dry, Natalie opened her presents. She’s old enough to read her own cards now. Wow!

We ended the evening with cake and ice cream. At the last minute, something had to give and it was making a wonderfully designed theme-cake. Natalie didn’t seem to mind too much. She was more excited to have real decorations and a boat load of friends to share her day with.
After filling the girls up with sugar and more sugar, I sent them home like any good party host would do. I’m nice like that.
Happy birthday, Natalie!
