I’m thankful for hobbits who climb into bed to snuggle in the wee hours of the morning, making their way in one-by-one until our bed is full of little fingers and little toes.
…for a giant who remembers to be the tooth fairy time and time again (Last night as I’m putting Natalie to bed: Mom, the tooth fairy didn’t come last night. Me, incredulously: She didn’t?! She never comes the first night! Natalie: I know, she’s sooo busy! ….. and I still forgot, but the giant remembered. Whew!)
…for a little hobbit whose heart beats against me when I hold him, who throws his arms around his mama and squeezes tight.
