Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh

June 26, 2013/Family

Yesterday we headed to the Children’s Museum in Pittsburgh thanks to a generous blog reader (thanks, Debbie!) who had some free passes she couldn’t use.

My kids loved the museum. Natalie is my oldest at almost 9 and she didn’t get bored once. There were rooms that each liked for different reasons and a section we didn’t visit at all. But overalll, we spent about five hours playing in harmony.

Funny thing is I had to beg my kids to go into the craft room. These children who usually love making things with their hands. Perhaps they thought it would be same old, same old. And then something magical happened. Mommy was right. They loved it. And spent quite some time making coffee filter and silk-screen paintings.

So thank you again, Debbie, for gifting us such a wonderful day.

p.s. we were able to take a break from the museum and run over to meet daddy and Marmi for lunch. We met Marmi’s friend, Evelyn, too. We had a great time but I forgot to take pictures. Bad mommy.
