Thursday was a long, hot day. But we filled it up with spontaneous activities. When I say spontaneous, I mean I found out at 9:30 a.m. there was a dog trick show at 10:30 a.m. at the local town green. We decided to go. Without proper planning, I didn’t have a blanket to sit on or water to drink, but the girls were troopers.

Watching the show….

She’s serious about dogs…

The dogs doing their tricks.

Then we walked through the Farmer’s Market set up right next door. We bought fresh peaches and apple sauce cherry raisin bread. Um, yum.

After the Farmer’s Market we were hot and hungry for lunch. I tried calling Henry to see if he could meet us, but there was no answer. Instead we drove through a fast food joint. I wasn’t ready to go home quite yet, so we went to the libary (a la Natalie) instead. I’m not sure why she calls it the libary, but I’m not correcting her until I don’t think it’s cute anymore!

The girls have never gotten their own cards so we decided today was as good a day as ever. We picked out three books each that I now have to keep track of and try to return on time. Great.

Then to the drugstore and grocery store before heading home. While picking up the Rx for Ryan, I remembered I needed new sunglasses. The girls helped me pick some out.

“These fit me purr-fect, mom!” (Ainsley)

And now on to the weekend. Will you be spontaneous or do you have plans?

    Wow! That really was spontaneous!

Maybe as the children get older (there are 5) I’ll be more spontaneous. Maybe.

    Sounds like a great time.

Sounds like a fun day. LOVE the sunglasses. We have no definite plans this weekend so anything we do will be spontaneous. Love ya all.

    Hi Leighann,

First of all, I LOVE Ainsley’s hair with the cute twisty knot! If/when I have a little girl I need to remember that hair style 🙂

And our only plans consist of entertaining my in-laws this weekend. Some things are planned, but mostly we will probably just be hanging out at home.

    Have a great weekend!
