Ryan is cleared to start on purees… that means baby food. We will be doing very small amounts trying to get him to practice swallowing. One concern is that he spit the barium back up about 20 seconds after swallowing it. We aren’t sure if it was because barium tastes bad or because there is a GI issue. He was so mad we had to stop the study pretty quickly after starting. So we aren’t sure what is going on right now. The hope is he won’t spit up what we practice with at home and that we can go back for a follow up in a few months.
