The other day I had to drop my brother-in-law off at Mount Vernon. We are relatively close to Mount Vernon so I didn’t mind. Plus I like my brother-in-law. He’s nice.
By the time we got there it was dark and for some reason we didn’t think ahead. He needed my car and I took my bike along to ride it home. Yes. I know. I’m crazy. But this was our plan.
I told him I would be safe and went to bike away. Just as my foot was pushing through the pedal, the pedal broke off. Plain broke. And do you know what I thought. I thought, I have to blog this!
And when we weren’t quite sure what we were going to do, a guy offered to drive me home. He said he could put my bike in his trunk. In his trunk? An adult-sized bike? But sure enough, he opened his trunk and it was the biggest trunk I’ve ever seen. My bike fit in with ease and so did my man-sized duffle bag. Oh, did I forget to mention the bag? And again I thought, Wow! I have to blog about this trunk.
And then, just like that, I woke up. And I laughed when I realized my dream-self thought to blog about her day. So you know what I thought…. I have to blog about this!

Oh my goodness 🙂 I’m sitting in my house all alone (well, the girls are sleeping) and I’m laughing out loud! I was wondering why you would accept a ride from a stranger with a trunk obviously large enough for a body…goodness! I’m glad that was a dream 🙂
omg that was funny, but I too was like oh no if that trunk is big enough for a bike its going to be big enough for a body!! Then I started thinking I wonder what town she lives in that she would take a ride from a stranger and surprised her brother-in-law did not step in…..lol….finally I got to the part where it was just a dream and thought phew!!!!
