I have writer’s block. I’ve been staring at my printed manuscript for two weeks and am so unmotivated to pick it up. I’ve written and read it at least four times now, maybe five. I’ve lost count. I have to go through it again to find where to add some backstory and write an epilogue. I have no idea what to write. The idea of never picking it up again is tempting. I can’t believe the amount of headspace I have when I’m not in the throws of trying to get that book to print. But I’ve come so far….

I’ve had a dull headache for the past few days… I finally remarked to Henry that I must be part of the Treadstone project and not know it.

Ryan’s loving hats these days. He typically grabs one from the “hat basket” and wears it around for the day.

We met daddy for lunch on Monday. He ran to Henry when he saw him and hugged his legs. (talk about a hobbit and a giant!)

I installed an app called “A+” on the iPad. You input your list of spelling words, and record yourself saying them, and it has a few different activities for the kids to help them practice their spelling. This helps me not have to say words while making dinner. Which is more distracting than it sounds.  The kids loves recording the words. Even Ryan got in on the action.
Natalie was able to put her list in by herself.

Ainsley practicing….

We got through most the neighborhood on Saturday selling Girl Scout cookies. It was the best day we’ve ever gone out – sunny and spring-like weather. We finished up on Monday night in the freezing (literally) temperatures. It was a clear night though and the girls were motivated to sell. No whining or crying. They giggled as they ran from house to house. Their technique is getting better as their confidence grows. I can honestly say I enjoyed the selling process this time around. Hopefully they’ll be just as motivated to deliver the cookies!
His new thing is to build…. anything… out of anything….

Henry and I are headed out for a date tonight… I’m excited!  What are you guys doing this weekend?

How am I the first to comment on this post? I love it!

You can do it! You have rewritten your book 4 or 5 times, what’s one more time, right? j/k but seriously! You can do it. People need to continue to learn about your story/Ryan’s story and the glory of God and His intervention. Take a break. Go on your date tonight. Relax this weekend. Give yourself a mental, physical, emotional break. But don’t give up even if it is tempting.

Okay, stepping down from the soap box…..

Love, love all the cute pics of the kids. That is one awesome app. Also love Ryan pics in his hat and stacking cups. Kudos to the girls for selling stuff and gaining confidence 😉

Have so much fun on your date!!! Adam and I want to do something tonight but I don’t know what we’ll end up doing. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Wow- so long– sorry. Love you!!!

I can’t wait to read your book. I can’t imagine how hard it is to edit in content at this point. Loved talking to you today, I’ve missed you!

I definitely will read your book when it is done Leighann. I can’t wait! I feel so excited for you to finish it! (:>)

I just finished reading a book that a gal in our church wrote. It is called “Blinded By His Shadow”, by Tammy Zimmerman…and it is the World War II story about her grandpa. It took her 5 or 6 years to research and write. She never knew him, as he died in his late 30’s. it was really good.

I recently finished reading “Born to Deliver” by Kathy Brace. She is a midwife who delivered some of our grandchildren. It was good too.

Our daughter Lynnette is writing another book. It is fiction this time. I am excited for her to get it finished.

Hope your writer’s block goes away soon kiddo.

    Love you,
    Linda

I work at the church cafe on Sat, it’s upwards basketball so its busy. So that means I am dead on my feet when I come home. Today I brought Maveric my 15yr to help out and I was told I can bring him any time I want and I can even drop him off to work and not stay if I wanted too. I was told I have great kids and they could tell we are good parents just by the way the kids worked. (Josiah had to clean bathrooms for a Royal ranger badge for church) the words warmed my heart and made me feel good. Daddy is making pig’s in a blanket so I can sit back and read my new book Tounges beyond the upper room by Kenneth E Hagin. ( I read last night till past midnight)
