Supplemental Wife

Job Description
The position is responsible for supporting the overall activities of the Marquiss family wife and mother. Candidate must possess a servant’s heart and endeavor to help the wife in any area she might require while she strives to absorb stress, protect emotions, and create a safe sanctuary intended for rest and bolstering at the end of a long day. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, all facets of laundry including ironing, meal preparation, car maintenance, correspondence, bill payment, landscaping, trash removal, general house cleaning and other household projects as needed.
The candidate must also support the Marquiss family wife walk the fine line of responding to the demands of three hobbits while instilling traits of personal responsibility and upstanding character. Candidate must  be willing to sacrifice all personal space (as I type this my girls are literally sitting on my arms and Natalie is ‘helping’ me type by putting her fingers on mine) and forget what the word privacy means.
The candidate must also be willing to lay self aside to nurture said hobbits in a manner that does not coddle but does not cause emotional detachment on the part of hobbits.
The candidate must also be an expert researcher, ferreting out which information is truly accurate when it comes to schooling options, nutritional balance, physical needs, and medical diagnoses.
The candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude, exuding self-control, patience, love, understanding, compassion, level-headedness, and overall kindness. Candidates who think they are above serving others, value self over family, or easily give up need not apply.  A working knowledge of Ainsley-ese is a plus.
In a nutshell, the candidate must be willing to take the initiative to pick up any of the small and large duties that fall through the cracks while primary wife runs around like a chicken with her head cut off.
Applications now being accepted. Compensation dependent on the attitude and perspective of candidate. Hours are 24/7 with no sick days, no vacation days and little free time.

Sounds a lot like Proverbs 31. You have been in my prayers. I don’t know how you manage to do all you have to do – especially the emotional rollercoaster you must be on. I’ll keep praying.

wow on that. you are doing a phenomenal job of keeping everything together. and there are going to be cloudy days. there are for all of us. we feel like crazy circus acts trying to keep all the plates spinning, racing around like a madwoman to spin the one that has slowed and begun to wobble. it’s an exhausting endeavor.
breathe, sister, breathe. inhale the sweet goodness of the Lord who will carry and sustain you when you feel you cannot go on.
may you feel encouraged today. may you get a breeze of fresh air to wash across you today. a breeze so fresh and clean that it could only be of God.
Lord carry my friend. Give her your comfort and especially today, Lord, give her your strength and patience. and may she see You today Lord in the simple and ordinary. and may she be reminded Lord that you are never ordinary, but extaordinary. meet her Lord in an unexpected way today. i ask this in Jesus’ name, amen!

As I read this, I am nursing the baby while Mia crawls all over me . . . Made me laugh!! I keep telling myself, one day I’m going to miss this. Kind of hard to believe right now though.

    I don’t care that men think it’s a man’s world.
We all know the truth. It’s the moms that keep everything together. Men just can’t (or won’t) do without us!

Those women that have one husband that they share amongst 5 or 6 other wives have it made. I am blanking on the religion. But they probably think God is good.
