Valentine’s Day planning

January 31, 2014/Uncategorized

Just a heads up – Valentine’s day is 2 weeks away. If you’re anything like me, you see awesome ideas and think, “man, I wish I would’ve thought of that” but it’s too late to get all the supplies. Here are few ideas to get you in the mood… and if you’re motivated enough, pick one or two and get the supplies ready NOW so you can implement your plan THEN.

Melissa over at Real Life One Day at a Time, made these heart pancakes for her daughter to start the day. I found a gluten-free baking mix at Aldi (not Bisquick since my sisters have gotten sick with that brand) that I hope to do this with so Natalie can eat them too.

If you’re feeling really ambitious, you can also make a Valentine’s day themed lunch like Cathy over at 505 Design, Inc. (this is her photo). With different sized heart cookie cutters you can make an array of foods from sandwiches to cheese.

My friend, Courtney, makes Valentine’s day fortune cookies that her kids open all week at dinner. Such a great idea!

And don’t forget your special someone!

This one I saw a few years ago and knew it would take longer than the few days I had to make it. Start now and you can get it done… (click on the picture for original source and tutorial). You can get 2 packs of cards from the dollar store for… a dollar!

Have fun planning!
