Ryan is getting more tummy time these days….. without the wedge. He now lays on the floor and reaches for toys. He is getting stronger.
Looking through his toy at Mama.

When he gets tired, he lays on his side, but soon enough he is back up and playing.
You can see in this picture how his hips still spread pretty wide when he is on his stomach. They are weak from lying flat so long at the hospital. We are working to get them straighter (and less frog-like). We do an exercise where I hold them together while he is on all fours.
Here is a two minute video of him playing. Enjoy!

    Leighann,
How adorable. What a struggle your little man is having. I pray that he will keep working hard and get rid of that oxygen. We love you all and look forward to seeing you some time this summer, if possible. God bless.

Leighann…It is so much fun to see Ryan playing. I love that little guy… and my husband and I keep him in our prayers. (I know I always tell you that…but I want it to encourage you)

It is fun to see him progressing.

Has your OT suggested baby biker shorts? Ok, that’s not what they are called but if you ask for them they will know what you are talking about. They made a world of difference with Madeleine’s hips. They are a pain with diapers but in the long run will set him up for success crawling/walking.
    Hope it helps!

Kirsten: The baby biker shorts are on order. I’m hoping they will be here soon. 🙂
