This week has been chock full of appointments and editing. That pretty much sums the whole thing up.
Monday Ainsley had an appointment at the eye doctor. She’s been complaining of watery eyes. Turns out she sees rather well, but may need some reading glasses to help her eyes relax a little. She loved the chair and all the apparatuses.
The best part was the lollipops they gave the kids at the end of the appointment. So fun!
We also had a pediatrician appointment for Ryan, an appointment downtown to apply for a passport for Little Boy Blue, and a few days of editing on my part. My book came back from the copy editor and I went through and accept the changes. Most of it was formatting, but I couldn’t help but clean up a few things here and there.
Next steps on the book are to have it formatted for ereaders and print form. A graphic designer is working on cover art… and then… well…. then it will be ready for readers. Yay!
The girls played outside a lot this week after school. They’re itching for Spring, but it seems Punxsutawney Phil was tipsy the other week and got his messages mixed up. Spring is NOT here in our neck of the woods. We’ve had snow flurries every day this week with a light dusting on the ground yesterday morning and again this morning. Snow is forecasted for Monday through Wednesday of next week too. March in the ‘burgh is coming in like a lion – a white lion who refuses to go away.
I’m coming to realize I don’t mind the cold and the snow. I like it better than dark days with rain. But dark days with rain will have to come if I want to plant a garden. And I do. So come on already, Spring!
Is it snowing where you are?
