Yesterday was the last day of school. I kept thinking it was Friday all day long. Then I’d remember it was just the last day of school and not the last day of the week.
Ryan and I had a fun day. First we went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. He enjoyed climbing on and off my lap during my cleaning and asking lots of questions. When the dentist came to check my teeth, he let Ryan raise and lower my chair. Boy, you would’ve thought he’d given him the moon!
After having my gums and teeth scraped, we headed into the city to have lunch with daddy. The weather was perfect as we pulled up to Market Square. There was a band playing and some different tents set up. Ryan played corn hole (and won a candy bar) while we were waiting for Henry to walk over from his office.
This is Ryan scanning the crowd for Henry.
When Henry arrived, I got so caught up in where we were going to eat I forgot to take a picture of the three of us. After lunch, we came home and helped fill water balloons for the kick-off of summer. My neighbor pelts her kids with water balloons every last day of school. Last year was our first year in this neighborhood and we joined her. Looks like it will be an annual event.

And here they come!
Eric letting Ryan shoot him with a watergun
Getting Natalie…
It quickly became all out war….
Simran trying to get Ainsley and I wet.
Carrie shooting Ryan who was begging for it….
In fact, I think he’s the one who had the most fun!
And now summer can begin.

His face is sheer JOY!!! Made my day!
OMG, you can tell how much they have all grown this year by looking at your front door panels. Even Ryan has shot up!
Look at that gorgeous face of pure joy – and this from a little boy who according to docs shouldn’t even be alive!! The wonder and happiness he exudes are priceless!!
What a great tradition! That’s neat that you have such fun neighbors! It looks like Ryan is lovin’ it!!!!
oh my gosh, I forgot about this but it is sooo fun! love this tradition and that the whole neighborhood gets involved.
