When you start off the week with someone in the hospital you know it’s going to be a weird week…. and it has proven to be so for us. Henry was released on oral antibiotics on Monday afternoon, still limping and with a crazy, kick-butt headache. Our bedroom became a temporary convalescent home for one large patient. He laid low for 2 days and ended up going back to work today. When I heard he was planning to return to the office (for we all know he did a little work from home yesterday) I said, “You’re going back to work? You’re still limping… your leg isn’t better…”
He said, “Someone has to make the money.” To which I replied, “Oh yea, okay. Have a good day!”
I’m very curious to see how his day went, especially his several-block walk to work from the parking garage.
Speaking of garages – I arrived home this afternoon to this in front of my garage…
My sister and brother-in-law sent me personalized sorbet as a congratulations on my book. WHHUUUT? Shut the front door, sit down and all those other things teenagers are saying these days. I’ve never heard of eCreamery, but I’m a big fan now!
My book is selling well. I’d love to have everyone continue talking about it to their friends, mom’s groups, preschools, Bible Studies, on the soccer field, baseball field, lacrosse field…. really anywhere the subject should come up of what you might be doing these days. The answer is that you are READING MY BOOK and it’s so amazing the other person MUST buy it. My sister sent me the following text:
In light of that text, I’m shamelessly asking that all of you who’ve read the book go to Amazon and write a review. If I can’t beat Gabriella Reece in sales (or volleyball), then by golly, I’m certainly going to beat her in reviews. So go forth and review.
Just a few other things happening around our house this week: a game of charades after dinner…..
Ryan being a cat or a dog…. his two favorite animals to act out…
Natalie being an owl…
Ryan: “I ate all my broccoli!”
The kids set up a lemonade stand yesterday. They used to charge 25 cents per cup. This time they decided to make it free. They made $10 in a 2 hours. They set up again today and made $4 in the first 15 minutes. I’m liking the free thing. They’re liking that they’re making a better rate selling lemonade paid for by dad than the rate they make doing chores for mom.
And that concludes my 500 word ramblings. Now go buy and review!

Oh my gosh, Ryan is so cute doing his little dog or cat. And, I love Natalie & Ainsley’s lemonade stand! There are definitely benefits to living in the suburbs- Chrissy & I’s lemonade stand made exactly $0. We made slightly more when we sold Tang at Miss Sheila’s yard sale one time 🙂 Your family is so cute! I miss you and want to visit! Oh, and it’s officially ok to make fun of Henry for being a leper… Right?
