Easy and Quick Teacher Appreciation Gifts

May 3, 2013/Tips

We all know I’m a lover of lists. Monday is National Teacher Day so I thought I’d throw together some ideas for appreciation gifts that are thoughtful, quick and easy. Not sure about you, but I don’t have a ton of time to home make candles to hand out this year, or any year for that matter.

Summer Package: With the end of school on the horizon, a great idea is a magazine, towel, and sunscreen wrapped with a pretty ribbon.

Drinks on me!: Serve up a reusable water cup with single-serve drink mix packets:

Fancy Chocolates: In Pittsburgh we have a shop called The Milkshake Factory. They sell specialty chocolates made by Edward Marc. Treat your child’s teacher to something out-of-the-ordinary with a fancy box of chocolates like these:

Reading, Writing and Arithmetic:  Grab a pretty box of cards or monogrammed stationary from a local store. Any teacher will appreciate pretty supplies for personal notes.

A good read: Gift a fabulous book that changed your life. My preference of course would be –

Fermented Fruit: Grab a bottle of wine from a local wine and spirits store. I would suggest wrapping it since it will be gracing the halls of a school.

Whatever you decide on, don’t forget to tell your children’s teachers that you appreciate all their hard work. Teachers spend a majority of their day with other people’s children – giving them their best – with little financial reward. Need I say more?
