Soccer season is over. It’s only 8 weeks long, but for the love of Pete, we just could not get our act together this year. I think Ainsley made 4 games and Natalie got to 3 of them. Between vacation, funerals, and Girl Scout activities we signed up for months ago, we had to fit soccer in where we could (man, we have such a hard life).
Last night we had a little pizza party with Ainsley’s team to celebrate the great season. It was fun to see which kids belong to whom and have a chance to chat with some of the parents. I met one couple who goes to our church and another family that goes to our elementary school. I’ve never seen either one at either place! With this only being our second spring, it’s fun to meet people who are already in our sphere… now we just need to follow up on the connection.
The kids had fun playing on the playground and playing a rousing game of soccer parents vs. kids. I had a hard time getting Ryan off the playground. He’s doing such a better job than last year. He’s even walking UP slides now, which scares the life out of me. Only two more days of school until we can play our days away. Yeah!
