Ryan’s birthday, round 2

February 20, 2013/Ryan
We started the day with Mickey Mouse pancakes. Natalie wanted me to make Ryan breakfast in bed, but I told her it was a little much for a four year old to handle syrup in bed. She was so excited for his birthday to be here. He was too! He LOVES pancakes. (His crown is from preschool.)

He started the day off right by opening a present from his Aunt Sarah. A book which he immediately held out and said, “Read it to me!”
Then we made his cake and icing.
Ryan likey!

Here’s Ryan’s cake.

Natalie planned games… pin the “4” on Ryan (see that little itty-bitty picture? that’s what we had to pin the “4” on)

Patting his “4” on the cupboard.

Ainsley’s turn

And Natalie…

Henry went so fast I couldn’t get a picture and I, of course, could not take a picture of me.
Then it was on to the presents.

The little king opened light sabers first.

And boy, was he excited.

Hi-ya!

Then he opened an indoor hockey set… I love how he’s holding the box with his feet!

Natalie and Ainsley worked hard on a frame made from Perler beads. Natalie cut a picture to fit inside.

She was so excited to give him the gift.

Then we sang happy birthday and had Ryan blow out his candles. But I can’t get youtube to load the video so stink… we’ll have to keep it to ourselves this year.
Happy birthday, little boy blue. Mommy, daddy, and your girls sure love you!
