Ainsley’s first day of preschool was on Monday. All last week she cried each day when Natalie left for school asking when would get to start school.

All smiles! You might remember last year she cried every time she was dropped off. This year, I invited her teacher over for a play date in the month before school so Ainsley could get to know her before the first day of school. It also helped some of the same kids from her class last year are in her class again.
Her teacher sent home a calendar showing they are going over the letter A this week in class. I asked Ainsley after school if she had learned about the letter A. “Nope!” she said. Then after a few minutes she said, “Oh wait, I think I saw the little letter a.” I fished through her book bag and sure enough there was a worksheet on the big and little A. I showed it to her and she said, “There it is!”

Your cute little pixie of a girl looks so sweet in these pictures.
That was a good idea to invite her teacher over so that she could get used to her on a personal level in her own home. You are such a good mommy.
Have a fantastic day Leighann!
Did Ainsley cut Savannah hair too? J/K 😉
Very Cute.
Speaking of the Alphabet. Have you seen Confessions of a Homeschooler website. She has a letter of the week curriculum for free. Really great printables. I have a link to her website on my links label.
