Day One – A Report

April 30, 2009/Ryan

Day one of Ryan being home can only be summed up by this poem:

“Cleaning and cooking can wait til tomorrow
For babies grow up we’ve learned to our sorrow
So settle down cobwebs and dust go to sleep
I’m rocking my baby for babies don’t keep. “

AWWW! I remember that poem. Never realized the truth of it until I experienced motherhood. Enjoy rocking your precious miracle. We love you and praying for you.

Awwww how sweet! It must be so nice to be able to hold him without wires, nurses, noises around!

Praise God you were able to bring that little angel home!! Hold him all you want…he’ll be wiggling out of arms before you know it!!

Leighann, I am a stranger to you now and have been following Ryan’s progress for more than a month now. I have resisted writing a post but want you to know I am praying for your little boy and for your whole family. I learned about you from Maggie on a Christian homekeeping forum. Then I found out you live in my area of the world. Then I found out you know my dear friend, Paula, from your church, and then I met another godly friend of yours at a baby shower I went to in my neighborhood! Ryan has a special place in my heart, Leighann. He is fearfully and wonderfully made and is so loved by our Creator.

I remember where I was and who I was with when I very first read that poem you quoted. It is so true….of all babies, but never brought home more than when the babies have special needs. Rock away, sweet girl.

    Lots of love and prayers,
    Jean Myers
