Last week my sister, Johanna, was here with her five kids visiting. It was rainy and wet on Wednesday so we decided to head out to our local library. I don’t know about yours, but our kids’ section rocks!
There’s a room for preschoolers with toys, games, and books so they aren’t bored while the older kids are book shopping. There’s also a puppet stage where our older kids enjoyed putting on a show.
Natalie just finished reading the first of the Boxcar Children series and loved it. The library didn’t have the second book so the librarian suggested she try the Cam Jensen series. Anyone remember it? It’s the girl detective with the photographic memory… I loved reading her when I was a child.
This is what happens when you try to take a picture of a teenager:
What do you do on a rainy day for a fun kid’s activity?
haha aww that seems fun. I love the “picture” of Alysa 😉

I bought my 9 year old son the first box car kids book for his birthday in May. He hasn’t read it yet, much to mommys dismay! he’s really into those “diary of a wimpy kid” book and movie. But I make him read the books first….I wish he’d get into the box car…lol
