We walked to Natalie’s follow-up eye appointment a few weeks ago and got caught in a drizzling rain on the way back to the apartment. I stopped in a CVS that’s going out of business and bought their last poncho. When we went to leave the store, it was a torrential downpour. Dreading whining kids I decided to make a game of it. I said, “Let’s make this into an adventure where we play in the rain.” They both got huge grins on their faces. Soon they were handing me back the umbrella and jumping in every puddle they could find. It is one of the funnest things we’ve done since being here!
