Parking: One less thing to worry about when traveling

April 11, 2013/Uncategorized

This post brought to you by The Parking Spot. All opinions are 100% mine.

We’re planning a family trip in a few months. I’m so excited. Henry and I love traveling and we love showing our kids new and exciting things. One of the biggest hassles of traveling with kids is the getting there part. Even Ryan is known to ask, “How long we be there?” (sic)

One thing you can eliminate is the stress of airport parking. The Parking Spot has it covered.

The Parking Spot is a national chain that operates 34 parking lots near 22 major airports (Pittsburgh being one of them). They focus on efficiency and hospitality. They offer complimentary shuttles from their parking lots to the airport and back. They also offer complimentary luggage assistance (I never know how much to tip for baggage help anyway!), morning newspaper (when arriving) and bottled water (when departing).  They’re open 24 hours per day, seven days per week, their lots are fully lit and fully fenced, their shuttles run every 5-7 minutes, and they even offer valet parking at certain locations. The best feature, I think, is that they offer parking reservations!!  No more showing up to a busy airport only to have to drive to lot after lot looking for a parking spot. You can make airport parking reservations at The Parking Spot online weeks before your trip.  Um, and I just noticed you can get your car washed and oil changed in some locations. Where can I sign up for that?

Additionally, they offer a (free) point club where you can earn free parking depending on how much you use their services called The Spot Club. For those who do business travel, this is a great perk.

As I write this, I’m noticing a trend…. all these hospitality features are free! The only thing you’re paying for is your parking, which you would’ve paid for anyway.
