I’ve been down with a stomach bug since last Friday. I’ve actually had it longer, but I get upset to my stomach so often that I didn’t realize I was actually sick until after a few days into it.

Henry took care of the kids and cooked us dinner all weekend. I’ve been lying around getting bored and dozing pretty much throughout each day. I’m not even sure what the kids ate for dinner Monday night. Natalie brushed Ryan’s teeth so I didn’t have to sit up to do it.

Tuesday morning I could hear the girls clanging around down in the kitchen – unloading the dishwasher. It’s a chore they usually do when they come home from school, but since they were up over an hour early I guess they decided to get it over with. After a few minutes they burst into my room with huge grins on their faces. Natalie was carrying a tray with my breakfast on it and Ainsley was carrying the computer. Ryan was smiling ear to ear.

“We made you breakfast in bed and brought you music so you can rest all day,” Natalie said beaming. (Pandora was streaming on the computer.)

“We cleaned the first floor too so you don’t have to do it!” Ainsley exclaimed.

I was blown away. I’ve been so sick it’s been a struggle to even get my own food and the scrambled eggs and sliced apple were a perfect way to start the day. Natalie had fed her siblings and packed her and her sister’s lunches as well. Geesh! What more can a mom ask for?

“Girls!” I yelled down to them as it was getting near to the time the bus would arrive. Their response – – “We already read the Bible together….”   They’re so used to our routine I think they thought I was calling them together for our morning ritual.

Seriously, I’m feeling like the luckiest mom in the world right now….
