It’s October. I know because all the recipes I’m trying to make call for pumpkin puree. Which reminds me how incredibly easy it is to make and freeze your own pumpkin puree, but I don’t have pictures on the process so I’ll have to save that for another post.

Hmpf.

Now where was I? October. Yes, October. Which is pretty dang exciting if you ask me. It means we can finally start making soups and stews again and drink hot tea without sweating.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love hot tea?

Um… have I ever mentioned how much I love tea in general?

Well, now I have.

October. The leaves change colors. Football is on every weekend. Sweaters come out of the seasonal bin. And fires are started in fireplaces all over the globe. Well, unless you live in an always sunny and 75 F place like San Diego. But I digress.

I love October. I love fall. I love, love, love Thanksgiving. Don’t even get me started on Thanksgiving. But that is in November so has to wait four more weeks before getting its fifteen minutes of fame.

What is your favorite season?

I’m a little bit into everything except for Winter-the only thing I like about winter is the Christmas holiday but I don’t like the cold snow mostly because of having to drive in it to work everyday and dragging wet snow into a clean place and having to bundle up in heavy snow clothes to go outside. I used to like it when I was a kid because it was a worry-free time play in the snow and make snow angels. I mostly love the Fall for color changes on the leaves, nature walks in the park, hot apple cider & Thanksgiving. I also love Fall for my favorite attire is jeans, t-shirt, hoodie & sneakers. I also love spring/summer for the sunshine, beaches, s’mores & bonfires, swimming & ice cream :o)

I am all for Fall. Hubby sent me flowers Oct 1 with the card saying Happy October. Its my most favorite month of all. Thats when the weather starts to cool, the smells of homemade soups and crusty bread fill my home. Oh how I miss the colder states that we have lived in. They say it does get cooler here in Sunny FL, well I am still waiting. Well I am off to make a crockpot of Cream cheese potatoe soup and maybe some crusty bread for dinner…

Although my favorite season is summer, I do like October. I love hockey season … oh can you tell I’m from Canada ;)? Here, Thanksgiving is on October 11 and I can’t wait. Its my third favorite holiday. Spending time with family and great food… yum! Also we have our second year anniversary so I’m also excited for that.
    Happy October!

I am torn between fall and spring. So I will just call it a tie 🙂

Totally Fall! I love the changing leaves and crisp mornings. Spring is probably my second favorite, as we finally get to see new green stuff after so much snow and blah.

Fall. If it wouldn’t dull by overfamiliarity I would have it this way all year round!

Love the cool, crisp weather, the colors, the breeze, the smell of woodsmoke, the evenings getting darker earlier, the coziness of fuzzy clothes…
