We started the day by going into the Upside-Down House. The kids were super excited to walk on the ceiling, especially Natalie.
They oohed and awed over all the details in the house. Ainsley kept saying, “Oh my goodness, look the have……”
Here’s the master bedroom.

Then we headed back to the falls where we shopped a little more. Natalie found out Henry and I collect spoons from every where we go. She’s a collector too and wanted to find something up her alley as a souvenir. She chose pins. She bought one that says “Canada” and one that says “Maid of the Mist” to start her collection.
She bought “Maid of the Mist” because we went on the boat to see the falls up close. They give you these little blue ponchos for the ride.

The bridge between countries.
Natalie and Ainsley loved the boat ride. Ryan not so much. He didn’t like that we were getting wet. He kept asking, “Done? Done?” until finally the answer was “Yes, we are done.”
After the falls we took a ride up the river toward Niagra-on-the-Lake. Henry had seen some of the sights as a kid and wanted our kids to see them too. It was a beautiful drive. We stopped to look at The Gorge…. and “The Whirlpool”.
It was there we saw the ugliest dog in the world.
We drove on a little farther and saw the Floral Clock. It’s exactly what it sounds like. A clock that is made out of flowers and shrubbery.
Then we got on our way toward Toronto. As we were driving we came upon Lake Ontario. We couldn’t help but stop and find a way down to the shore (there was a little drop off we had to scale, but of course, that didn’t stop us!) Henry and Natalie waded right in.
The rocks in the lake were pretty slippery so this one stayed on the shore throwing rocks and having the time of his life.
This one collected feathers. “Look how many feathers I found, Natalie!”
We all dipped our toes in so we could say we’ve been to Lake Ontario!
Henry took this picture of Natalie. I’m not sure what she’s saying, but my guess is “Where’s the conch shell? No one can speak unless they have the conch shell! Keep the fire burning. We need smoke!”
We had Ainsley take our picture because we have so few of us. For this one she said, “That one was good, but your head is cut off.” We laughed for a long time about that one and then explained that as the photographer, it’s her job to keep everyone’s heads in the picture. That our job is to stay still.
So she took another one and said, “This one’s good, but I cut off your arm.” We told her arms are okay to cut out sometimes.
We stopped at a farmer’s market because Henry is a sucker for fresh fruit and I’m a sucker for anything related to a farm. I caught this picture of Ainsley chasing Canadian Geese in CANADA!
We finally rolled into Toronto as the sun was lowering on the horizon.
I can’t help but post this picture of Ryan. It’s so bad it’s good! We were waiting for daddy and the girls to check us into our hotel. He looks like a crazy boy!
At a late dinner we found a taste of Pittsburgh.
A great end to a adventure-filled day!

aww so fun. Adam really wants to go to Toronto. I mean if we’re being honest, he really wants to live anywhere in Canada. It’s a recent obsession.

When we lived in Pittsburgh, we visited the Falls in the summer…they were spectacular. But I was most impressed when we visited in the winter and the falls were frozen…beautiful! Looks like you are having lots of fun!
