Natalie’s time tank is pretty low so we went on a mommy date today to try and fill it a little. I asked her in the car if she wanted to go get her nails done. Her eyes got really wide and she said, “We can go to the makeover store!? Oh! I’m gonna get stuff here (pointing to her eyelids). “

“They won’t do make-up.” I explained. “But you can get your fingernails and toenails painted if you want to.”
She thought this was a fabulous idea so we headed to the nail salon for her first experience. She chose pink glittery polish for her nails (to make them ‘sparkly’) and soft purple for her toes. We sat and chatted while she got her nails done. She told me we could only do fun things on our date and that when she isn’t around I do boring mommy things. She also told the lady we have two girls and one boy; and, that Ryan is in the hospital because he has a big boo-boo on his heart and so he can’t come home much.  It was cute to see her making conversation.
Here are some pics of our date (taken on my cell phone so sorry they’re blurry):

You are an awesome mommy. You sense low mommy tanks and then do your best at filling them. Love the cute pixs of Natalie’s first makeover store experience. She is a cutie.

Sweet! Looks like it made her day mommy. No one fills her world right now than that time and love from mommy and daddy, so it was probably exactly what she needed.

Oh I am so glad you had a mommy date with your little Natalie.

All of this has been hard on your family and it must be good to get out and about.

I am remembering to pray for Ryan.

    Love, Linda @ Truthful Tidbits
