The cath is going very slowly. They wheeled Ryan into the procedure room around quarter to nine. At 10 o’clock I got an update that the cath had yet to start. There were some problems intubating (putting on a ventilator) Ryan. They typically use the nasal passage to place the breathing tube, but they worked for some time trying to get the tube placed and finally decided to intubate through the mouth. Apparently Ryan kept desatting during the placement in the nose so they felt it was better just to go ahead with the mouth to keep his body stable.
After all that, Dr. K was unable to get access through either of Ryan’s femoral arteries. This is the location of choice and the way Ryan has done his prior caths. So change of plan here too… Dr. K is now using an artery in Ryan’s neck to gain access to his heart.
Please pray with all these hiccups, Ryan tolerates the procedure.

It is almost 1 pm an dI am still praying and hoping that Ryan is now done adn you are with him comforting and singing to him. Praying that he has tolerated it well and that he is peaceful. Praying that you are feeling our prayers and love from miles away and that you feel you Father’s hands around you each minute of this day. Love you guys.

Just wanted to let you know how much Ryan has been on my heart lately….every time, I say a prayer for him – and for all of you. Praying that all went well today and that Ryan will rest well this afternoon! Thanks for your updates.
Cont to pray for little Ryan, I talked with your Bro in law Ken last night and he told me some of what was going on with Ryan. Praying that he gets over his cold soon.
