stream of consciousness today…

Ryan is growing up. he’s almost completely potty trained. only one or two accidents a day and that’s saying something for a little boy who takes a diuretic every morning. it makes him pee about every 15 minutes until noon. he’s getting better at getting to the potty. whoot whoot!

the kids play a game now where he has a wooden spoon and chases them around the house saying “spankin, spankin” ย the girls run, shriek, and laugh. he loves it.

girls are doing great with their chores charts and sticks. more on that next week. the first week was torture as they fussed their way through a lot of the academic stuff… piano and math and reading, but now they know it’s nonnegotiable and they do it nicely (most days). we are learning that practice makes perfect. and only things you work toward improve.

i finally downloaded games on my phone for the kids when we’re out and about. ryan knows how to pick the ones he wants and hasn’t managed to buy anything extra yet. the girls are only allowed to play a math game for now…. i’m hoping to have time to find some more education games but haven’t had the time.

we had friends here this week for a few days, some siblings and my mom and Neil are coming this weekend, and my sister and her kids are here next week. we are having fun catching up with everyone.

henry and i have been married 16 years as of today. i am learning each year how much more i love him. ย  this past year has especially brought us new depth. i thank God for bringing me such a wonderful man.

Yay on the potty training!! Will be so nice to not have to worry about diapers anymore!

We never did get to talk about getting together while your sister is visiting…Call me when your family leaves for the weekend. Maybe we can get a sitter for the eve and come up there that week. There really isn’t a house big enough to hold us all here. You aren’t so far now, really, so it may just work.

Happy Anniversary to you and Henry!! I hope you have many, many more!!

Hello I have read your story and you are so blessed. It must have been so hard for you and your family to overcome such a big trial in your lives. I will pray for your family I know how hard it can be have a little one in the hospital. My son is barley going to have his first surgery this August. My son was born with Dextrocardia and agenisis of the right lung and it has been hard for me since he is my only son. I wish and pray for your family.

    God Bless
