John and Jess’s nuptials and the after party…

November 28, 2012/Family
My brother, John, got married on Saturday. We’re so excited to welcome Jessica to our family. She is our only sister-in-law on our side!!  Poor girl, she’s surrounded by sister-in-laws!
The wedding site was absolutely beautiful. An intimate barn set amongst rolling hills.
The girls watching Jess get ready.
My nephew, Adyn, hamming it up.

Ainsley resting during the reception.
Whoops. The cupcake goes the other way, Ryan.
There you go.

Jessica and her mom made all the cupcakes for the cake tower. I made the little square on top and iced it with buttercream icing. Jess’s dad made the cupcake tiers out of mahogany and plexiglass.

Because we can’t leave well enough alone.

Okay, but what we really need to talk about is the after party. Just like after mom’s wedding, we all decided to go bowling. We put our kids to bed at our parents’ houses and headed out for a night on the town.  It’s usually the boys who are rowdy. On this occasion, it was the girls’ turn.
We danced it up to the juke box – mostly hip-hop – and generally made fun out of everything we did. Here’s Katie and Christine dancing while waiting for their turn on the lanes.

Dottie after bowling after a rare gutter ball.

Amy… who knows what she just did!

Henry bowled in his suit.

Dean and Buck killing time.

Us girls, minus Johanna.
