I’m a good mom, right?

December 8, 2010/kids

Does this make me a bad mother?

Because if it does, I’m in trouble. When you have a child whose heart is outside his body, it’s hard to get riled up about children climbing on the fridge.

I did set the rule of only one child on it at one time. I mean, I’m not an idiot. Right? Right? Why the silence?

Okay, so maybe this isn’t a great idea. I told them so. And let them know this is the last day they can climb on the fridge.

I have my standards.

And a big husband who will see these pictures when he does his checking in online. Agh! (Hi, Hon). And a social worker friend who reads… you’re not calling DCS are you, Kristen? Cause I really do love them. And I do take care of them. And feed them. And clothe them. And bathe them.

And I do the Running Man and the Cabbage Patch in my kitchen for a little boy with two chins and a fat head. (That sounds like a picture caption on CNN or AOL, “Boy with Two Chins”.)

And can someone tell me what age you stop saying things to your child like, “You have such a fat head.” ? Because I don’t want Ryan to be self-conscious about his head. Although it is super large. It’s not his fault he wears a 4t hat when he’s not even 2. His smile makes up for it though.

In case you couldn’t see clearly, Ainsley is Elasti-Girl and in a bathing suit.

I’ve never seen a kid on top of a refrigerator…but it made me laugh! And YOU make me laugh Leighann!

I know that you do have to be more laid back because of all you have experienced. My daughter Lynnette is like that too. When people have faced life and death situations…you just don’t get as worked up about things as other people. Right?

These pictures will crack her prospective husband up someday!

    Love, Linda

Hey, you need to let them up on the fridge every now and again….with a dust cloth in hand! lol

I’ll bet they’d enjoy dusting it for you!

Keep up the great posts! Your kids are just super and you are a super mom too!

Wait… are you trying to say it’s NOT good to let your kids climb on top of the fridge?!

Love this post! I think every mom resorts to some sort of unorthodox playspace every now and then. Harrison loves the dryer- door open and not on of course. Kids will be kids and they will have great memories of the things mom sometimes let them get away with! 🙂
