This week may be quiet on the blog. I’m headed to NoVa to visit some our old stomping grounds last-minute with the kids and won’t have my computer with me. It’s going to be a whirlwind trip, but it looks like the only time we’ll fit it in this summer.
Henry and I spent the weekend at Niagara-on-the-Lake – a beautiful, historical town in Canada, just a few minutes up the lake from Niagara Falls. It’s definitely not somewhere the kids would enjoy visiting – lots of quaint boutiques, wineries, cafes, and sitting by the lake. We spent a blissful two days relaxing and doing whatever we felt like, which was a lot of nothing. We saw Man of Steel on Saturday night. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I actually teared up a few times. Really, while watching Superman. What can I say, I’m pregnant.

VBS this week, a lot of running around with errands while the kids are busy learning about Jesus. Went to the nero today with hubby and they have given him a tenative MS diagnosis. They are going to do one more test to rule it out but the doctor said he has 7 more lesions on his brain in 4 months, so we are just in what the heck mode right now. All we can do right now it put it at the feet of the Lord and leave it there. Just a crummy way to start the week out.
Today was a crazy day…leaky roof repaired…truck not repaired for 3000km round trip to visit sister visiting from Finland…switch vehicle, cancel campsite reservations for change of plans completed…Reading your blog completed…reminence about our April trip to Toronto and Niagara on the Lake completed as well! Loved it! Watched Man of Steel recently and teared up as well and definitely not prego just empty nesters! Enjoy your week! Give the littles in your life many loves and snuggles!

We just returned from a four day visit back to the Burgh! Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary and a friend’s 60th birthday and caught up with “old” friends. Ate turkey devinshires at Alexander’s on Liberty Ave in Bloomfield, watched fireworks light up the skies of Pittsburgh from our vantage point atop Mt Washington, ate a delicious meal at an Italian restaurant outside of Dormont, traveled to Nemacolin Woodlands and ate a spectacular brunch, then on to Rocky Gap in Flintstone, MD for a round of golf! Always fun to visit…we have ten years worth of memories in Pittsburgh! This week will be a little less exciting 🙂 Sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. Trying to get to the pool a lot, cleaning the house and catching up in general after being in Brazil, had a plumber come in today, packing tomorrow for a week long visit to my sister in Pennsylvania with the the kids on Thursday.
