Go Os, er I mean, Buccos….

May 9, 2011/Family
Henry’s apartment is just a few blocks from PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Saturday night we walked over to the park and got in for the last two innings on the cheap.
It was hat night so for $16 we ended up with hats, bleacher seats in the outfield, and an experience to last a lifetime.
This was the girls’ first pro baseball game.
Ainsley enjoyed watching the game, but may have had more fun taking pictures with my camera. I just deleted about 20 pictures of the outfield, scoreboard and a shot every single person that sat in a 10 foot radius of us, including the chatty ballpark usher.
When she moved on to taking pictures of herself I took the camera from her and took her picture. I think Pittsburgh agrees with the girl. Look at that smile!
Not only was it ‘hat night’ but it was also ‘fireworks night’. We felt right at home as we watched an incredible display of pyrotechnics by the Zambelli family, the same family who does the Washington, DC fireworks Henry and I have watched so many times.

The girls were in awe! I love Natalie’s face – an especially big one had just gone off.

We had so much fun just being a family. Poor Ryan was home with a babysitter, but for me, it was nice not to have a squirmy two-year-old boy on my lap. Whew.
And the Pirates won! Whoooo Hoooo. Go Buccos.

    Hi
My name is Jenna and I came across your site. Ryan is such a cutie and a brave courageous fighter and a real hero. I am so glad you and the girls enjoyed the baseball game. I have never been to pro baseball game in my life. I was born with a rare life threatening disease.

You Leighann got to see something a hometown Pittsburgher has never seen! A pirate win live 🙂 Every time we go they loose…we are such bad luck! The firework display at the games is always wonderful! So glad you guys are enjoying the city so far 🙂

My two year old has an infinate love for my camera. Sometimes he takes really good pictures for being two. He annoys the whole house hold when he takes MY camera and catches you in whatever you’re doing.
    Beautiful pictures.
