Frying Pan Farm Park

May 6, 2010/Natalie
Wednesday Natalie’s class went on a field trip to Frying Pan Farm Park. I was priviledged to drive Natalie and two of her classmates to the park and stay to help chaperone the class. It is so fun seeing her with her friends, in her element.

We started in the museum room where we found out about life on the farm in the early 1900s.

Then we headed out and were greeted by the horses. Natalie is the one with the french braid. We talked about working horses and the reason horses get shoes.
The horses nuzzled and we talked about friends and how we help them out in life.
In the barn, the class got to pet a 2-day-old goat. So sweet.
We looked at the pigs – inside and out – and Natalie was thrilled when the piglets tried to eat her shoes.
All the kids wanted a turn at being chewed on.
We finished our farm tour with a tractor ride.

The class.
It was a beautiful day. The best really.

Love that place! We spent a lot of time there when my Bigs were little. Sadly, my current little hasn’t been since we don’t live close anymore, but I need to make a special trip to do it soon! Like… before it gets hot! LOL
