Yesterday was a day for doing….. today is a day for:

  • lying on the couch reading the book
  • putting on my husband’s sweatshirt because i’m cold
  • watching my son who’s lying on his stomach on the floor watching a movie and realizing he’s a little boy who CHEWS GUM!
  • eating the last cookie
  • ignoring the dishes
  • hugging my daughter close
  • eating leftovers
  • using 5 teeny-tiny gym washclothes (they call them towels) to dry off b/c i forgot my own bath towel for the shower (yes, read that again and laugh. it was funny.)
  • getting my rear in gear and getting more done on that to do list
I will leave you with this story because my list reminded me of it:
Henry hates when I wear his sweatshirts because then they are dirty when he wants them. However, as hubby-pleasing as I am, I refuse to listen to him on this one. A girl has to put her foot down sometimes and this is one battle I won’t lose. Because a) I’m home more than he is and b) after 15 years he’s tired of complaining about it. So in the winter especially I wear his grey sweatshirt. One Saturday last Spring Henry wore his sweatshirt. Ainsley saw him in the hall and said, “Why are you wearing mommy’s shirt?” Seriously. I laughed so hard I peed my pants.

I love that you also wear your husbands sweatshirts and they somehow become your own!! I also did that and now my husband wont ever wear it because he thinks people thinks it’s a womens sweatshirt! I love it!

First of all I am having a hard time picturing teeny, tiny Leighann in big, tall Henry’s sweatshirt! (:>) It must be long enough to fit you like a dress. (:>)

But I have worn my hubby’s sweatshirts before and sad to say they fit me just fine! (Maybe even a little snug!) Ha!

Everyone needs days like you are having today…lying on the couch and reading a book…and just basking in the glow of your family and enjoying them.

The part about Ainsley asking her dad why he was wearing mommy’s shirt?….Priceless!

    Love, Linda (:>)

I agree with Linda…I just can’t picture you in his big sweatshirt! I think we need a picture 🙂

I sleep in t-shirts a lot and when my 3 year old sees me wear one out of the house she asks me why I’m wearing my pjs. It’s funny how they pay attention to clothes when you don’t really think they are!
