The girls’ school had a back-to-school carnival Thursday night. I thought it’d be a good idea to go and possibly run into some of their friends, meet the parents, and meet Natalie’s teacher.

Meet some parents – half a check
Meet some friends – another half check
The kids had a blast at the carnival and didn’t want to leave. However, we stood in line for food so long that Henry and I decided it would be best to go somewhere else for sustenance. Yes, it was a fundraiser, but we also had to think of our growling stomachs.
So we let the kids play some games….
… pose for pictures.
… pet the Humane Society animals (yes, the Humane Society was at the event pawning animals off on unsuspecting families). Henry and I stood firm. There aren’t any new pets in the Marquiss home tonight.
….get their faces painted.
And cash in their tickets. Then we headed to the Mexican restaurant at the top of our street. Yum-O!! It was a good thing too since it started pouring rain as we were pulling out of the school parking lot. That Carnival was over anyway.
